The short version

  • Only make ringtones from content you own or have permission to use.
  • Ringtones are for your personal phone, not for sale or redistribution.
  • Don't use RingSnip to get around copy protection or to download in bulk.
  • RingSnip is free and provided as is.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mouath Awartani, operating as RingSnip ("RingSnip", "we", "us") for your use of ringsnip.com (the "service"). By using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use RingSnip. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the service.

2. What RingSnip does

RingSnip lets you take audio from a video link or a file you upload, trim it to 30 seconds or less, and download it as an iPhone ringtone. The service is free and supported by advertising. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, and we may limit how much one person or device can use it.

3. Your content and your responsibility

You are responsible for every link you paste and every file you upload. By using RingSnip, you confirm that you own the content or have the rights or permission needed to make a ringtone from it, and that doing so doesn't break the terms of the platform it came from.

Ringtones you make are for your own personal, non-commercial use on your own device. You may not sell, publish or redistribute them. We don't claim any ownership of your content. You give us only the limited permission we need to process it to make your ringtone, and we delete it within 1 hour as described in our Privacy policy.

4. What you must not do

  • Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
  • Use RingSnip, or try to, to get around digital rights management (DRM) or other copy protection, including music from subscription streaming services.
  • Use bots, scripts or automated tools to access the service, or download content in bulk.
  • Upload anything illegal, harmful, or that contains malware.
  • Interfere with, overload, probe or try to break the security of the service.
  • Copy, resell or offer the service as your own, or remove our notices.

We may block links, devices or IP addresses that break these rules, without notice.

5. Other platforms

RingSnip isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook or any other platform. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, which you are responsible for following.

7. Advertising

RingSnip shows ads from third parties such as Google. We don't control those ads or the sites they link to, and we aren't responsible for them. How ads use data is explained in our Privacy policy.

8. No warranties

RINGSNIP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT THE SERVICE WILL WORK WITH EVERY LINK, FILE OR DEVICE, OR THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, RINGSNIP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO USD 50. SOME COUNTRIES DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against RingSnip because of content you processed or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.

11. Changes and ending use

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and continuing to use RingSnip means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes will be handled by the courts there, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim locally. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
